We Take Care Of Your Health
Where to get a whole body MRI in Orange County | HTC Imaging, we offer a comprehensive medical evaluation known as a BODYSCAN. After all procedures are completed, we review your medical history and MRI and ultrasound screening results. Using MRI technology, we can detect aneurysms in the brain and aorta, tumors, and ischemic disease. Additionally, we perform spine screenings to identify nerve protrusion, herniation, compression fractures, scoliosis, and disc water content. Chest MRIs are used to diagnose nodules in the lungs, pleural fluid, and inflammatory heart disease such as pericarditis and myocarditis. We also screen for thoracic aortic aneurysm.
In the abdomen, we evaluate the liver, kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen for masses. We also perform lumbar spine screenings to detect any disc disease between L1 and L5-S11 and evaluate the size and nodules of the prostate and urinary bladder. For women, we evaluate uterine fibroids, cervical lesions, ovarian cysts, or tumors. Additionally, we screen for breast lesions and breast implant leakage. Our screenings include five ultrasounds in conjunction with four MRIs of the brain, chest, abdomen, and pelvis.
We also evaluate the percentage of plaque in the carotid arteries and use echocardiograms, a noninvasive ultrasound procedure, to assess the heart’s function and structures. Coastal Heart and Velocity Research Institute cardiologists can provide appropriate treatment plans based on these evaluations. We offer abdominal ultrasounds to reevaluate six organs in the abdominal cavity further for any focal abnormalities or to evaluate fatty liver. Pelvic ultrasounds are used to reevaluate the uterus and ovaries for endometrium thickness, ovarian cysts, and intrauterine fibroids. Finally, we perform a soft tissue neck evaluation to assess the thyroid and lymph nodes.
We email all official reports to patients and their primary doctors. Patients will also receive all images of MRI and ultrasound on DVD the same day. MRI and ultrasound procedures are noninvasive and have no radiation side effects. No contrast dye is used, and fasting for four hours is required (water is okay). The total time for a whole body MRI in Orange County | HTC Imaging is 60 minutes.
